Project Officer(02)

Job Summary: The Project Officers will be responsible for overseeing project activities and providing timely and reliable information for effective decision making. In addition, the person will be responsible for organizing project field-based implementation activities and the successful completion of assigned activities. The Project Officer will spearhead project planning, supervision and periodic review of all activities planned, directly influencing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the project


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a University Degree in Health or Social Sciences
  • Three years of experience working in communities with good knowledge of public      health system and structures.
  • Understanding the social determinants of health and community dynamics.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the ACHOLI Language is an added Advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Works under minimum supervision.
  • Meeting strict deadlines.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to drive change and innovation.
  • Ready and willing to learn and develop as an individual.

 Enrolled Midwife ( 38 Positions)

Job Overview/Summary:
The enrolled midwife will be based in Yumbe and shall be responsible for providing health education talks to women and their partners in the reproductive health facility and in the community. She will provide Antenatal, delivery, post-partum, post-natal care, family planning services and shall maintain friendly working space hence 3 adhering to infection control and prevention practices. She will provide HIV/AIDS services including but not limited to counseling, eMTCT, EID and HAART service

Requirements / qualifications:

Position Reports to: Registered Midwife in charge Position directly supervises: None
Other Internal and/or external contacts:
Internal: WPE, community health, Protection, Supply chain and HR
External: MoH, UNHCR, UNFPA, District Health office, RMF, TPO

Qualification, Skills and Experience;
  • Must have enrolled midwifery certificate or equivalent.
  • Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives council.
  • Relevant work experience of two years is essential.
  • Be able to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
